Support Our Program

Currently, organizations and groups requesting raptor presentations are asked to pay a fee. The fees range from $25-$600 and are dependent upon travel distance. By requesting a payment for the presentations, the program has been able to make much needed improvements in the housing of the larger birds housed outdoors.

The medical care and temporary housing of injured and rehabilitating birds is provided by the College of Veterinary Medicine at Washington State University. Food is obtained from various university-wide sources and donations. Maintenance of facilities and equipment and provision of transportation depend primarily on volunteer commitments of faculty, staff, students and the public. Financial support is always welcome and contributions to our raptor rehabilitation endowment would be greatly appreciated. For information about the endowment please contact:

We are pleased to make educational presentations for local classrooms, clubs, organizations, and events. These programs include live demonstrations using our  non-releasable educational raptors. Our presenters are able to adapt the presentations to any age or interest group. Our hope is to raise awareness about the birds and their special ecological requirements. If you would like us to give a presentation to your group, please send an email request at least two weeks before the date you'd like us to come.

Help feed and care for the birds. Feeding birds involves serving wholesome food to the club's resident raptors. You can also help maintain the facilities and raptor enclosures, and chart progress of birds under our care. Don't be shy-- we'll train you!

Learn to handle our raptors for presentations. We always need help with educational presentations and welcome your participation. We ask, however, that you be committed since learning to handle the raptors and learning their stories takes time.
