System representatives appointed to equity, diversity, and inclusion officers group

As part of the OneWSU initiative and ongoing effort to advance equity, diversity, and inclusion efforts across the system, WSU President Kirk Schulz has appointed seven representatives to a system-wide Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion (EDI) Officers Group.

The EDI Officers Group will be charged with assisting in the creation of a diversity strategic plan for the WSU system and campuses, defining expectations for the use of the Equity Impact Assessment Tool, and guiding systemwide diversity initiatives.

“As a land-grant institution, we need to ensure that our campuses represent and serve the greater society in which we live,” said WSU President Kirk Schulz. “This collaboration group, and others like it, will enable us to do a better job of that going forward.”

Lisa Guerrero, vice chancellor for equity and inclusive excellence at WSU Pullman, will serve as chair of the group for the 2022-2024 academic years. Group leadership will then rotate among the other campus and system representatives every two years.
