Biography
Dr. Ryan Baumwart is currently at Washington State University as a staff cardiologist. He received his DVM from Oklahoma State University. He then did a rotating internship and cardiology residency at The Ohio State University. He has spent time in private practice for 6 years and has been in academics for the past 10 years. Dr. Baumwart’s research has included canine cardiomyopathies, congenital heart disease, systemic hypertension, advanced imaging of heart disease, and aging. Dedicated to the importance of teaching in the veterinary profession, he is an active member in the college’s Teaching Academy.
