Zoetis Distinguished Teacher

This award is sponsored by Zoetis and recognizes an outstanding teacher who, through their ability, dedication, character, and leadership, has contributed significantly to the advancement of the veterinary profession, as well as to student education over the course of their career. Award recipients from each veterinary college in the United States can be nominated for the national Zoetis Distinguished Veterinary Teaching Award. The recipient of this award is selected by the fourth-year class and a committee of faculty peers.

Dr. Richard Wescott was a highly respected parasitologist, much loved teacher at the WSU College of Veterinary Medicine. A goal of the award is to recognize WSU College of Veterinary Medicine clinical faculty who provide outstanding teaching and mentoring during clinical rotations.
