Meet the Class of 2025: Meg Knox

Growing up in Duvall, Washington, just northeast of Seattle, Meg Knox found her passion for biology while pursuing her undergraduate degree. Now a fourth-year veterinary student at Washington State University, Meg is excited to begin a career that merges her love for animals with her commitment to compassionate care.

“The connections I’ve made with WSU faculty, house officers, and fellow students have been one of the greatest assets of my experience here,” Meg said. “The camaraderie throughout this program has helped me retain veterinary medical knowledge, improve my technical and surgical skills, and refine my own personal style of client communication. Most importantly, these connections form a huge part of my support system as I get closer to practicing.”

Meg plans to enter small animal general practice, with a keen interest in practices in the Midwest and East Coast. She is considering opportunities in Pittsburgh, Cincinnati, Chicago, and Washington, D.C.

In her free time, Meg enjoys running with her 1-year-old dog, Bernadette Peters, who is always up for an adventure.

“I also love theater and enjoy going to plays and musicals in the Moscow-Pullman area,” she said.

One of her favorite aspects of life at WSU is the breathtaking scenery.

“The sunrises and sunsets on the Palouse are simply beautiful. There’s nothing like those cotton-candy skies!” she said.

At home, she adores her dog, Bernadette Peters, a delightful mix that turned out to be a “French Boodle”—half French bulldog, half mini goldendoodle. And when it comes to her favorite coffee spot, she loves One World in Moscow for her caffeine fix.

Fun fact: Meg has a mirror-image identical twin sister named Julia.
