Dr. Brown obtained his Ph.D. from Washington State University in 2008 under the mentorship of Dr. Barbara Sorg. Upon completion of his Ph.D., Dr. Brown worked as a Postdoctoral Associate in Dr. Yan Dong’s laboratory at Washington State University. In 2009, Dr. Brown joined Dr. Julie Kauer’s laboratory at Brown University in Providence, Rhode Island, where he studied synaptic plasticity within the hippocampus and spinal cord. In 2012, Dr. Brown took a position as an Assistant Professor at The University of Wyoming in The School of Pharmacy. In 2018 Dr. Brown was promoted to Associate Professor with tenure in concurrence with becoming the Department Chair of Pharmaceutical Sciences within The School of Pharmacy. In 2021 Dr. Brown joined the Integrative Physiology and Neuroscience Department at Washington State University as an Associate Professor.
