Biography
Dr. Jenna Waltzek is an assistant professor and a veterinarian in the Veterinary Teaching Hospital’s Community Practice service. She earned her doctorate in veterinary medicine from UC Davis in 2004. Following veterinary school, she completed an internship at The Center for Specialty Veterinary Care in Westbury, New York. Jenna then returned to Davis, California, to start practicing at a small animal private practice and marry Dr. Thomas Waltzek. In 2012, they moved to Florida and became parents to two amazing girls. In the summer of 2023, they returned to the West Coast to live in the Palouse as Cougars. Jenna is excited to expand her career focus from private practice medicine to training the next generation of veterinary professionals through the Community Practice service. Her professional interests include internal medicine, soft tissue surgery, dermatology, dentistry, and ultrasonography. Outside of work, she enjoys traveling, hiking, reading by a warm fire, and taking care of her three cats, two children, and new dog.
