What experiences in our program have been the most meaningful so far?

The experiences in WSU’s program that have been the most meaningful so far are the close connections between students and faculty that I have seen and experienced first-hand. The professors that I have met here are some of the most approachable people that I have ever had the chance to meet, and you can genuinely tell that they have a desire to get to know their students and care for their well-being. Professors are willing to go above and beyond for their students and make sure that they create a warm and comfortable learning environment while also challenging them to be their best, grow, and learn from their mistakes. Failure is encouraged here, and that is okay. I have never felt more comfortable talking to a professor than at WSU’s veterinary school.

WIMU faculty are:

The WIMU faculty are some of the most approachable and down-to-earth faculty that I have ever had the opportunity to meet and build relationships with. The faculty here are solely dedicated to our learning and success, and they will go out of their way to make sure that we understand the material and can effectively show that we have learned it. The faculty here shows the perfect balance of professional relationships mixed in with personal mentorship, and we are beyond lucky to have them.

What are some things to do outside of vet school in the Pullman area?

Some things that I like to do outside of vet school in the Pullman area are going hiking (Moscow Mountain, Kamiak Butte, Elk Creek Falls, and more), going snowboarding during the winter time at Lookout Pass, going out to local restaurants and breweries with friends, and going swing dancing in Pullman and Moscow.
