Why did you choose to attend our program for veterinary school?

I received multiple offers and visited a handful of the schools, but WSU stood out. The size and culture of the community, which is similar to Laramie, Wyoming, where I completed my undergraduate degree, was important to me. Washington State was at the top of my list because of the program, opportunities, and remarkable facilities.

What experiences in our program have been the most meaningful so far?

The sense of community has been amazing. Since the first day of orientation, there was such a clear message of support from the faculty, which was incredible. The kindness of professors has also been so nice since I began classes. Its a very special program.

The hands-on experience here is:

The opportunity for hands-on experience here at WSU CVM is unmatched. Starting your very first semester, you are hands-on in the surgical simulation lab to start to master the technique that you will be using for the rest of your career. There are large animal, small animal, and exotic animal hands-on opportunities that are unique to WSU. It was a huge part of why I chose this program.
