Maclain Tomaino’s favorite place to camp is any national park. In time, he and his wife Cali hope to visit and camp at them all.

Maclain is a fourth-year veterinary student from Roosevelt, Utah. He received a bachelor’s degree in biology from Utah Valley University. Maclain said he has no obligation to end up back in Utah, but it is a potential landing spot, along with Wyoming, Idaho, Montana and Washington. Those state’s are convenient given his hobbies are camping, snowboarding, fishing, hiking, golfing, and mountain biking.

He hopes to work at a mixed animal practice after graduation in May. Maclain said he wanted to be a veterinarian to help animals and humans, too. “Being a veterinarian is awesome because while you may be focused on saving and changing animal life’s, in doing so you are also changing the lives of their humans,” Maclain said. He and his wife have two poodle mixes; Hershel and Canelo.
