Dr. Cunha’s research focuses primarily on malignant catarrhal fever (MCF) with emphasis on ovine herpesvirus 2. Her main goal is to improve strategies to mitigate losses due to MCF. To accomplish that, Dr. Cunha’s laboratory works on elucidating virus-host interactions that guide the development of improved diagnostic tools and vaccines.
