While Dr. Huyvaert’s research focus is on wildlife disease ecology, she and her lab group apply both field and laboratory techniques to questions about pathogens and parasites at the interfaces between domestic animals, wildlife, and humans. Kate has a keen interest in applying knowledge from her work to conserve the world’s biodiversity.
