Biography

Dr. William (Bill) C. Davis is a professor in Veterinary Microbiology and Pathology and serves as the director of the Washington State University Monoclonal Antibody Center. His research focuses on the development and use of monoclonal antibodies to study the immune response to pathogens and parasites impacting the health of livestock, companion animals, and human health. His current studies are focused on the three major mycobacterial pathogens affecting livestock and humans –Mycobacterium tuberculosis, M. bovis, and M. a. paratuberculosis – and tick-borne parasites Anaplasma marginale, Babesia sp., and Theileria sp. The objective of the studies is to develop efficacious vaccines.
