I am keenly interested in the wonders of teaching, exploring innovative ways to introduce students to new information and engage them in the learning process. As director of the WSU College of Veterinary Medicine Diagnostic Challenge, a unique high fidelity simulation program, I am engaged in creating an impactful environment where students can experiment with and learn skills and knowledge applicable throughout the veterinary curriculum and future careers. My educational research focuses on using assessments as a learning tool, while my biomedical research focuses on animal health, including infectious disease and pathology.
