Biography
Dr. Mushtaq Memon is a Professor Emeritus in the Dept of Veterinary Clinical Sciences (VCS). He is a specialist in Veterinary Reproduction (Theriogenology) and is a Diplomate of the American College of Theriogenologists. Dr Memon has had a distinguished career in teaching, research, and clinical practice for 35 years. Before joining WSU, he served as a faculty member at the Veterinary Colleges of Oklahoma State U, Louisiana State U, and Tufts U. Dr. Memon is an internationally recognized scholar and has served as a Fulbright Scholar, Fulbright Ambassador, and Fulbright Specialist. He has served as a visiting professor, consultant, or volunteer in 28 countries to enhance education standards and assist smallholder farmers in increasing food production in developing countries. Dr. Memon was a founding faculty member of the Paul Allen School for Global Health, and he was instrumental in starting the Integrative Veterinary Medicine program at VCS. Dr. Memon is the author of about 120 publications in refereed journals, conference proceedings, and book chapters. His recent book on Integrative Veterinary Medicine was published in August 2023.
