Biography

Dr. Salman Waqas is a lecturer in comparative theriogenology. He is a diplomate of the American College of Theriogenologists. He completed his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine with summa cum laude and Master of Veterinary Science from Pakistan before earning a PhD from WSU through a Fulbright Scholarship. Dr. Waqas completed an internship at Auburn University and a residency at WSU, in addition to specialty externships in Canada and Turkey. He served as a comparative theriogenology faculty member in Pakistan for seven years, handling teaching, research, clinics, and ambulatory responsibilities, alongside advising MS and PhD students. In his free time, he enjoys outdoor sports, especially playing cricket for the WSU Cricket Club, and spending time with his family.
