Logan Prock is one of the few to take former WSU football coach Mike Leach’s Insurgent Warfare and Football Strategy course, where he got to meet former Cougar quarterback Gardner Minshew. Entering his senior year, the neuroscience student wants to use his degrees to solve complex problems in the corporate world.
Where are you from and where did you graduate high school?
I am from Redmond, Washington, and graduated from Redmond High School. As a senior, I am pursuing a double degree in neuroscience and psychology, along with an additional major in history.
What are some of your favorite hobbies?
My favorite hobbies include cooking and playing video games and sports with friends. Anything that fosters a common goal and can be done with friends I am gravitated to.
What’s your favorite thing about WSU?
My favorite thing about WSU is the spirit campus has. Regardless of where in the country I am, if I am wearing something Coug-themed I will hear plenty of “Go Cougs!” by random people passing by.
What’s your favorite course you’ve taken at WSU?
Neuro 301 with Dr. Ryan McLaughlin. This class was filled with so many foundational neuroscience topics that were presented with so much energy. Professors like Ryan can make complex topics simple and minor units fascinating.
What’s a unique fun fact about you?
I was one of the few students who got accepted to take Mike Leach’s class “Insurgent Warfare and Football Strategy,” where I went on to meet awesome people like Gardner Minshew.
What are your career goals?
I began school aiming to become a psychologist, but through life’s twists and turns, I have turned my sights on human resources. Although no longer a medical or doctoral role, it will allow me to use my degrees to solve complex problems in the corporate world.
