Living in Pullman
In Pullman and the surrounding area students enjoy the many amenities the region has to offer. For the outdoor enthusiast, there are beautiful local hikes, miles of bike trails, and skiing just a short drive away. Farmer’s markets, local festivals like the National Lentil Festival, and a diverse music scene from local bands to national acts at the Lionel Hampton Jazz Festival can be found in the Pullman and Moscow, Idaho, communities. The region also has the cultural richness of bigger city life. Pullman is home to the Washington Idaho Symphony, civic theater groups, and local dance companies. Washington State University also offers a variety of performances both by traveling tours and faculty and students, and fine art exhibits in the WSU Museum of Art. WSU Cougar Athletics is a proud member of the Pac-12 Conference.
