WSU clinical instructor Katie Kuehl is the Washington State Veterinary Medical Association 2020 WSU Faculty Member of the Year. Dr. Kuehl runs WSU’s One Health Clinic, a place where people experiencing homelessness with companion animals can get medical and veterinary care in a side-by-side setting. She also manages WSU’s fourth-year clinical rotation; runs the shelter medicine program at Seattle Humane; and has been pivotal in the Washington Animal Disease and Diagnostic Laboratory coronavirus pet testing study with the University of Washington’s Center for One Health Research.
