I feel a deep sense of gratitude for WSU spirit and fortitude, and I really love the role our college plays in the fabric of this community and our larger community.
This week marks four years I have had the pleasure of serving as the Dean of the College of Veterinary Medicine and it has me thinking about how much we have accomplished and how much I have grown in this role.
I have been enjoying travels these past few weeks as I advocate on behalf of the college in Washington, D.C., attending a conference focused on topics of national importance to veterinary medicine, and meeting with donors on the west side of the state.
February is ending with rain, giving the much-needed nourishment for spring to emerge. It is worth the gray clouds as long as they take their leave when appropriate.
On this truly gray winter’s day, there is a reason to celebrate. Please join me in wishing a happy birthday to our very own College of Veterinary Medicine!
The holidays are a time of giving. As a college, we give and receive. What we give to animal, human, and global health and well-being is tremendously important.
