Guy Palmer

Dr. Palmer is the founding director of the Paul G. Allen School for Global Health and currently leads disease control programs in East Africa and Latin America as well as directing the Robert R. Fast Laboratory at Washington State University. A member of the National Academy of Medicine, he heads the National Institutes of Health (NIH) Training Program in Infectious Diseases and Microbial Immunology and holds an NIH MERIT award for research on pathogen emergence. Dr. Palmer is also a faculty member of the Nelson Mandela African Institution of Science and Technology in Arusha Tanzania and a member of the Center for Emerging and Re-emerging Diseases at the University of Washington.
