Paige Dull’s motivation to become a veterinarian comes from a deeply personal place.
“Animals carried me through some of the hardest parts of my childhood,” she said. “I want to protect that bond for others — because sometimes it’s the lifeline that makes all the difference.”
Drawn to the challenge and variety of mixed-animal medicine, Paige has strong interests in emergency care and even military veterinary work. No matter the setting, she hopes to feel comfortable working across species and to serve both animals and the people who love them.
She said her time at WSU has been transformative.
“WSU has given me an outstanding education, but even more importantly, it’s given me lifelong friends and colleagues I can lean on throughout my career,” Paige said.
Outside of her studies, Paige enjoys working with her hands and spending time outdoors. She has knitted sweaters from Icelandic wool and alpaca fiber, tends a garden, hunts, cans, and takes on creative projects like restoring her 1979 Ford Bronco — a powder blue classic with tan leather accents she hopes to show at car shows. She and her fiancé, Ryder, are also building their dream wedding venue together.
At home, Paige and Ryder share their life with three pets: Indi, her mini Aussie; Rue, a border collie mix who lives joyfully with cerebellar hypoplasia; and Sky, a gray tabby she calls irreplaceable.
