What do you think makes our program special or unique?

I think our program feels unique for how supportive it is. The students support each other by fostering a non-competitive atmosphere, the faculty support us by getting to know us and offering time outside of class to help us understand course material better, the administration supports us by helping us navigate scheduling and making the most of our time here and providing wellness resources, and the entire staff of the VTH supports us by welcoming us into the hospital to apply our classroom knowledge and expand our understanding of clinical veterinary medicine.

What experiences in our program have been the most meaningful so far?

I have loved the opportunities we have for hands-on learning and communication even early on in the program. I can’t say enough good things about the principles of surgery course and clinical skills lab, and I am very excited to begin communications training with the diagnostic challenge next semester.

What I wish I knew before vet school:

I wish I knew how much vet school would change me. I have already grown so much since entering the program, and I am very proud of the confidence, independence, and intellectual curiosity I have seen develop in myself and my classmates so far.
