Research Symposium in honor of Dr. James Krueger

Sleep researchers from all across the country ventured to Pullman on August 8 to celebrate Regents Professor Dr. James Krueger’s distinguished contributions to sleep science, inflammation, infection, and their intersections.

Krueger joined WSU in 1997 and he is one of the leading sleep research experts in the nation. In 2012, he was named the WSU Honors College Faculty Thesis Advisor of the Year and elected to the Washington State Academy of Sciences.

The full-day symposium featured talks by 13 leading scientists that worked with Dr. Krueger throughout his career, including WSU researchers Dr. Hans Van Dongen, Dr. Éva Szentirmai, and Erika English, a graduate student in Dr. Krueger’s lab.
