Alumni Awards

Four College of Veterinary Medicine alumni will return to the WSU Pullman campus March 23 to receive some of the college’s most coveted alumni awards.

Presented in recognition of a more than four-decade-long career dedicated to helping others.

Three Washington State University College of Veterinary Medicine alumni were recognized for their contributions to the veterinary field.

Dr. Craig Nishimoto (‘84 DVM) was awarded the Washington State University Alumni Association’s highest honor – the Alumni Achievement Award.

The 2019 Distinguished Alumni Awards recipients are Dr. Linda Fineman (’92 DVM) – Excellence in Veterinary Practice, Dr. Emily Pieracci (’09 DVM) – Excellence in Veterinary Practice, Dr. Susan J. Tornquist (’96 PhD) – Distinguished Graduate Alumni, and Dr. Stacy Pritt – Outstanding Service.

The 2018 Distinguished Alumni Award winners are Dr. Louise C. Abbott (’88 DVM) – Excellence in Teaching and Research, Dr. Scott C. Bender (’94 BVSc, ’95 DVM) – Excellence in Practice, and Dr. Guy Palmer (’84 PhD) – Distinguished Graduate Alumni.

Congratulations to our 2017 Distinguished Alumni Award winners Dr. John Middleton (’90 BS, ’93 DVM, ’01 PhD) – Excellence in Teaching and Research, Dr. Steven Weisbroth (’64 DVM) – Excellence in Teaching and Research, and Dr. Rodney A. Miller (’79 PhD) – Distinguished Graduate Alumni.

Congratulations to our 2016 Distinguished Alumni Award winner, Dr. D. Scott Adams (’72 DVM, ’79 PhD) – Excellence in Teaching and Research.

Congratulations to Dr. Lauren Trepanier for being awarded the 2015 John E. McCoy Award, which is given to an outstanding worker in the field of clinical veterinary medicine.
