Dr. Anders Omsland is an associate professor in the Paul G. Allen School for Global Health. His research focuses on the pathogenesis of bacterial obligate intracellular parasites (BOIPs), specifically Coxiella burnetii and Chlamydia trachomatis.
Dr. Dana Shaw joined the College of Veterinary Medicine in 2018, and today her research in the Department of Veterinary Microbiology and Pathology investigates the molecular mechanisms that govern all phases of pathogen-vector-host interactions.
Dr. Brooke M. Ramay is an assistant research professor at the Paul G. Allen School for Global Health who is leading research on antimicrobial resistance in Guatemala. She has a dual appointment at the Universidad del Valle de Guatemala as an associate professor and researcher at the Center for Health Studies.
Dr. Margaret Wild joined the Department of Veterinary Microbiology and Pathology in the College of Veterinary Medicine in 2018 to lead Washington’s elk hoof disease research efforts.
Dr. Heather Koehler studies viral-host interaction in DNA viruses, including monkeypox virus research. She joined the WSU College of Veterinary Medicine in January as an assistant professor in the School of Molecular Biosciences.
Dr. Yoko Ambrosini joined the College of Veterinary Medicine this past January as an assistant professor in Veterinary Clinical Sciences and a member of the small animal internal medicine team at the Veterinary Teaching Hospital.
